IF WE DON'T SCHEDULE REST...

Life will schedule rest for us. Andrea Olson, our founder, and her husband Gabe have been doing ministry together in churches for nearly 20 years. If there's one thing they've learned, it's the importance of rest.

No, not sleep. REST.

In ministry, you run hard. It's beautiful, and exciting and sometimes draining and difficult. And taking time off is even more difficult because we are needed every single week. But, in order to stay healthy...we all need a little rest sometimes.

We, at Overflow Worship, understand that it isn't always easy to take a sabbatical (or a vacation for that matter). And it isn't always affordable.

But we have set out to make it just a little easier. 

Gabe and Andrea's motto is:

A change of pace plus a chance of place equals a change of

PERSPECTIVE.

 There is something beautiful about getting away and changing your surroundings, even if only for a little while. It forces a change of place and pace, which brings about a much needed change of perspective.

This beautiful home is located across the street from Green Lake in West Central Minnesota, one of the most coveted lakes for property owners in Minnesota. The dream has always been to use this house as a safe and peaceful spot for ministry leaders and missionaries to come and be refreshed.

The Overflow House is meant to be a spot where you can refill...and leave filled to the overflowing, ready to tackle the ministry that God has called you to. With 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it's large enough for a family or even a large group of people looking to stay together. There are a total of 7 beds that can sleep a total of 8 people.

Owned and managed by Gabe and Andrea Olson, founders of Overflow Worship (a ministry to worship leaders), their desire is that you would take this time to change your pace while you're in this new place and gain a new perspective for your ministry and leave refilled to the overflowing.

Sound good? Well, it is, but You have to do your part...

We have the house...but you have to get there.

Whether you're able to take 2 weeks or 2 months (or more), the Overflow House is ready and waiting for you!

You're probably wondering how incredibly  expensive this is. Well, that's the point. It isn't.

We know that ministry salary does not always allow for getaways. So, we work to keep it as affordable as possible.

The cost is $250 per week (yes per week, not night). Our goal is to simply cover our basic expenses. We do have some scholarships available, so if finances are a hardship, reach out to us to apply!

The fine print...for those who are wondering

The minimum stay is 1 week. We do not rent this out nightly. The original intent was for a sabbatical or furlough house, however, if you have a unique time frame need, reach out and start a conversation! We will see what we can do!

The maximum stay? Well...we haven't met it yet. If you are a missionary on Home Assignment for a longer period...if the space is available, we'd love to help if we can! It's first come, first served, so please reach out and ask!

There's super fast wifi, a local contact to assist you if needed, as well as all the amenities of home that you would need. Reach out to our team for a full list of all the amenities and things to do in the area!

One additional important note - due to sensitivities in the family and to honor all future guests, no pets of any kind are allowed. Thank you for helping us keep our home a retreat for many years to come!
